In addition, Attorney Harold B. Murphy was named in the Top Ten and John D. Hanify in the Top 100 among the 1,900 Massachusetts lawyers honored.

On November 24th, Hanify&King filed a complaint in the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court on behalf of 11 Massachusetts citizens, including Governor Romney, to compel the Legislature to reconvene the Constitutional Convention.

John D. Hanify, of Boston based law firm Hanify & King, was recently quoted in The National Law Journal article "Intimidation alleged in high-stakes case". The article writes about alleged witness intimidation in the federal patent court case MIT v. ImClone Systems Inc., No. 04-10884(MA).

Hanify and King lawyer Theodore J. Folkman wrote the article "Providers are advised to beware of insurers' misrepresentations of coverage" for the Summer 2006 edition of Massachusetts Medical Law Report. In the article Theodore writes, "Providers should become aware of the risk of relying on insurers' representations of coverage, take note of some of the difficulties they may face when pursuing insurers for damages and take action to decrease the risk that the physicians themselves - or the public - will end up bearing the cost of the care they provide."

Hanify & King lawyer Jeff Upton was recently highlighted in the Boston Business Journal article "Post-bankruptcy, co. must pay $8.8M of earlier debt" about his recent successful court case for Milliken & Co. of Spartanburg, S.C. The case has implications for corporate owners who file for bankruptcy to get out of debt but reorganize with the same ownership team.
