Governor Mitt Romney has appointed Hanify & King attorney Christopher M. Morrison of Norwood, Mass. as the newest member of the Board of Trustees of the Massachusetts Bay Community College. He will serve a five-year term on the board.

Hanify & King lawyer Christopher Morrison wrote the article Is Summary Judgment Still a Good Investment in a Contract Interpretation Case? for the April 2006 edition of New England In-House. Mr. Morrison writes, "A motion for summary judgment may seem like an ideal vehicle to end the case. But such motions, particularly in complex cases, can be expensive, and their prospects for success, at least in Massachusetts courts, appear to be diminishing rapidly, principally due to one seemingly obvious case."
