In matters of public law we have represented private and governmental clients in cases affecting the Governor’s constitutional powers to regulate appropriations; the legislature’s obligation to vote on citizen sponsored constitutional amendments; the rights of local municipalities to be heard on questions of community hospital closures and mergers; the constitutionality of eminent domain powers exercised under redevelopment statutes; the management prerogatives of Charter Schools and the nature of their statutory independence; the constitutionality of municipal by-laws and the extent and application of principles of sovereign immunity.
