Ms. Cross practices in our Business Divorce and Separations Group. She was admitted to the bar in Massachusetts in 1990 and began her legal career as a law clerk for the Honorable David S. Nelson of the United States District for the District of Massachusetts. She then practiced for over three years with the law firm of Brown, Rudnick, Freed & Gesmer, P.C. before joining Hanify & King in 1996. Prior to joining Hanify & King, Kathy served as a Special Assistant Attorney General, assisting the Commonwealth in prosecuting actions again the tobacco industry. Kathy has participated in a number of trials in the Northeast in both federal and state courts. Her practice focuses on disputes in closely held businesses as an advocate for a partner or shareholder, or as counsel to receivers of businesses in crisis.
