Experience

Mr. King is President and co-founder of Hanify & King and is a member of the Corporate and Finance group.

Mr. King began his practice in 1973 as an Attorney in the Office of Chief Counsel at the IRS. From 1974 to 1978, he served as a Trial Attorney in the Antitrust Division of the U.S. Department of Justice and as Administrative Assistant to the National Commission for the Review of Antitrust Laws and Procedures. In 1979, he was Special Assistant to the U.S. Attorneys for the Districts of Colorado and Massachusetts and was honored by the Department with its Outstanding Achievement Award.

In 2006, Mr. King was recognized as one of the top 100 lawyers in Massachusetts.

Representative Engagements
  • Counsel to commercial enterprises and merchant banks in the areas of finance, capital formation, fiduciary and other duties among investors and entrepreneurs, the protection of intellectual property rights and international business arrangements.
  • Counsel to a diverse group of commercial clients in the areas of securities, trade regulation, licensing, intellectual property litigation, and corporate finance. Mr. King is regional litigation counsel for several alcoholic beverage suppliers, the largest golf products company in the world, and several national and international consumer products companies.
  • Assists clients in the organization, finance, and governance of bio-tech and telecommunication enterprises and not-for-profit foundations.
