Boston – January 19, 2005- Attorney Jeffrey Upton of Boston-based law firm, Hanify & King, has been appointed to the Board of Trustees for The Museum of Printing in North Andover, Mass. The museum is dedicated to preserving and displaying the history of the graphic arts, printing equipment and printing craftsmanship.

“We are delighted to have Jeffrey Upton join the board. With his expertise in the law and his long-standing passion and support for the Museum, his participation on the board will significantly contribute to our mission,” said Gardner LePoer, Executive Director of the Museum.

“I am honored to be chosen to be a member of the board of trustees of the Museum of Printing, an organization dedicated to preserving not just an important aspect of our civilization’s history, but the very means by which it has been recorded” said Upton. “With so many revolutionary advances in the methods of printing over just the past century, we must be vigilant about maintaining these priceless artifacts for the benefit of the public, for academia and for generations to come.”

Upton has extensive experience in corporate, partnership, real estate, employment, and intellectual property litigation and with this knowledge has helped to make business litigation the largest practice at Hanify & King. Upton provides his clients with general business counseling as well as litigation and alternative dispute resolution services. He is a resident of Milton, Mass., and has provided pro bono legal services to the Museum for over ten years.
