Experience

Jonathan began his legal career in Paris, focusing on corporate and transactional law in cross border matters. While in Paris, Jonathan became an Avocat à la Cour after successfully taking the Paris bar exam. Following this initial experience, Jonathan worked in New York City before joining Murphy & King. Jonathan counsels clients across a broad spectrum of business transactions, including start-up and emerging technology issues, acquisition and sales, on both the buyer and the seller side, and commercial real estate transactions, including the leasing, acquisition, sale and financing of property.

• Counsel to start-up enterprises on all aspects of formation and other business issues, including counsel to foreign investors establishing a US presence
• Negotiation of lender financing and renegotiation of distressed real estate investment
• Creditor representation in collection and foreclosure matters, including commercial and residential real estate and maritime vessel foreclosure
• Assistance to non-profit and charitable organizations in all aspects of their organization, operation and dissolution. Compliance with fiduciary, private inurement, fundraising and IRS obligations to preserve not-for-profit tax advantages.
